Dee Northern is co-founder of NL Capital Ventures and serves as President, leading the firm’s healthcare M&A strategy alongside an executive team spanning federal health leadership, healthcare operations, and M&A counsel. In his advisory career, he specializes in wealth strategy, estate and transfer planning, and behavioral finance — currently serving HNW/UHNW families in the private sector.
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Dr. Garcia is a nationally recognized healthcare leader whose career spans corporate, federal, and international health leadership. He previously served as the 14th U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health and a Four-Star Admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service — the highest-ranking medical officer in the country. He currently chairs the boards of Ambitna and Aegis Health Analytics, applying AI and emerging technology to improve health equity and outcomes.
Chief Operating Officer
Remy is an internationally recognized leader in information technology, analytics, and healthcare, with experience spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas. She serves as President and board member of Ambitna and sits on the board of cybersecurity firm UbiVault. A founding partner of Aegis Health Analytics, she has led major strategic partnerships across healthcare, technology, and academia.
Chief Financial Officer
Joseph brings over 40 years of leadership across finance, banking, healthcare, and technology. A former Congressional candidate and civic leader, he was a founding director of the Smart Card Forum, Chaired a Health Care Administrative Reform Committee, served on boards including, the Association of Information & Technology Professionals, Paladin Data Systems, PDS Research Associates, SCDPI, Healthcare Information Technology Associates, Maryland Auxiliary Communications Service and the Mayor’s City Wide IT Advisor Board. His career includes nearly a decade in Washington advising legislators on healthcare reform and technology policy.

Rakesh is a corporate attorney focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities offerings. He has represented private equity firms and served as senior and general counsel for major insurance and fuel distribution companies. He holds a JD and MBA from William & Mary.

John is a 35-year healthcare and medical device executive. Currently Chairman of the Board of Directors at Virginia Bio. Board Advisor at N. Brereton Medical Technologies. President & CEO, Co-Founder, Board of Director at NanOptical Biomedical Inc. He previously led the turnaround team at CONMED Corporation and co-founded SurgiQuest, which sold to CONMED for $265M. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Stryker, U.S. Surgical, and Johnson & Johnson.
